Wildcat Beach Bums ~ April 9-11, 2015
Oh what a wonderful girls trip. Anna, Annette and Coral began the hike into Wildcat Beach from the Palomarin Trailhead. It was a sunny morning, with warm weather and a very blue sky. Bush lupines and California sagebrush thrived the Coast Trail as we made our way along the coast and into a canyon. After stepping out of the woods, we edged toward the ocean again walking along some dramatic cliffs. With Wildcat in our view, we marveled at the the abundance of beautiful wild mustard seed. We descended down the trail to campsite #5 with big smiles on our faces! Our days were spend enjoying morning coffee on the cliff greeting the morning sun, a beach fire, awesome sunsets, playing cards, happy hour, a walk to the Alamere Falls, napping on the beach in the warm sand, and great company. Once again Wildcat served us a fantastic getaway and the joyes of serenity. Our hike out was met with swarms of people hiking in on a Saturday to see the Alamere Falls. We were glad to get off of the busy trail. We enjoyed a fantastic lunch at the Farmhouse in Olema. Total hike distance: 11.4 miles
