Point Reyes National Seashore
Wildcat Camp / Beach February 2012
We started our hike from the Bear Valley Trail head taking Coast Trail to Wildcat Camp traveling about 6.6 miles. The hike was strenuous, but the scenery was beautiful. The weather was spectacular and we spent the evening watching the sunset from our campsite. Saturday we hiked along the Coast Trail and Ocean Lake Loop, passing Wildcat and Ocean Lakes. The afternoon was spent at the beach reading and sunbathing. Our evening was met with strolls along the beach, vodka and crystal light cocktails, a perfect sunset and a game of Gin Rummy. Guess who won? The moon was incredibly bright and lit our entire campsite. We saw the beautiful sites of deer, bobcat, coyote, quail, and butterflies. We packed up Sunday morning and headed out on Stewart Trail, moving over to Glen Trail, then onto Bear Valley Trail. Stacie, Coral and Mark. Miles traveled: 15
