Kirby Cove
Camping with a view of the Golden Gate Bridge
August 26 - 28
A camping adventure and celebration of 60 years of a beautiful life. Mark, Coral, Dan and Colleen headed to Kirby Cove for camping next to the Golden Gate Bridge. Our campsite was awesome with views of the fabulous city of San Francisco and the Golden Gate Bridge. The cool clean air was welcomed! Our tents were set up along the bluff next to the pleasant sound of the ocean waves. The first night we were met with winds that raddled our tents a bit, nut no fog or fog horns. The Golden Gate Bridge was a beautiful sight. The SF kiddos joined us for a BBQ dinner and birthday celebration for Colleen. Coffee and pancakes for breakfast next to a warm fire was the best! Coral and Colleen strolled the beach, watched crazy high lining, and searched for sea glass, while Mark and Dan kept the campfire going all day long. Night two was met with the sound of fog horns. The fog had moved in and Coral and Colleen initially thought the horns were the result of two ships passing under the Golden Gate; however, we soon realized, the fog horns were not stopping and graced us all night long. It was a wonderful getaway!
