LAKE MARGARET JUNE 27-28
TWO GIRLS, A DOG AND A GLOCK!
Being my dear friend Annette's birthday, we decided to hit the trails and backpack to Lake Margaret. Her sidekick Jack joined us and he was was a true trail seeker. We headed out early, and somehow with all our yakking, we missed our turnoff and ended up driving an extra hour! The hike in was magnificent! Granite, meadows and several creeks to cross. After setting up camp, we hiked along the lake crossing granite boulders and gathering firewood. We came across a few secluded campsites on the other side of the lake. We had the lake to ourselves for most of the afternoon and swam a few times as the water was so inviting! We enjoyed our morning coffee up on a rock overlooking Lake Margaret! Miles hiked: 5
