Summertime Wildcat...
Somewhere on a Beach
July 29 - 31, 2016
Erik, Lynda, Mark and Coral began our hike at the Palomarin Trailhead. The weather was nice with a thin fog layer hanging over us.
The hike into Wildcat was easy to moderate with just a few hills to climb. The trail was freshly manicured as the shrubs were cut back to allow plenty of room on the trail. We arrive to Wildcat, quickly set up our tents and headed to the magnificent beach. Appetizers, wine and some Rummy were enjoyed with the sounds of AC/DC and Sting as Erik brought his very cool speaker! Saturday we took a day hike around the Coast trail loop and marveled once again at the views from the bench on the cliff. We spent most of our day at the beach after gathering some wood for a campfire. Now, that's another story. After dinner, we did enjoy a nice fire at the beach. The white clean sand was awesome to sit in and with the sights and sounds of the waves and fire, it was a wonderful beauty. Sunday morning we packed up and headed out on Stewart Road and then onto the Bear Valley Trail. It was nice to hike in on Palomarin and out on Bear Valley. We enjoyed burgers and beers at the Marin Brewing Company where Ella and Jimmy joined us for lunch! Another great trip to Wildcat....
